Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ChatPulse (“the bot”, “we”, “us”) collects when it is added to a Discord server, how that information is used, and the choices you have. By adding ChatPulse to a server or using its commands, you agree to this policy.

ChatPulse runs on Discord, so Discord’s own Privacy Policy also applies to everything you do on the platform. We are not affiliated with Discord.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what the bot needs to work:

Server settings. Your server (guild) ID, the channel set with /set-channel, and the language set with /set-language.
Channel activity timing. The time of the most recent message in the configured channel, so the bot can tell when it has gone quiet.
Command usage. When someone runs a command, we receive their Discord user ID, the server and channel it was used in, and the command name. This is used to respond and to prevent abuse such as spam.
Technical logs. Error and performance logs that may include server, channel or user IDs, used only to keep the bot running.

We do not store the content of members’ messages, and we do not collect email addresses, passwords, IP addresses or payment information.

2. How we use information

To detect quiet channels and post conversation starters in the right channel and language.
To respond to commands such as /revive-chat and regenerate prompts.
To prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Use, and fix bugs.

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described below.

3. Sharing

Discord processes all data sent through its platform under its own policies.
Infrastructure providers (such as hosting and database services) store data on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users.

4. Retention and deletion

Server settings are kept while ChatPulse is in your server. When the bot is removed, its settings for that server are deleted within 30 days. Logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted automatically.

You can ask us to delete data linked to your server or your user ID at any time by contacting us in the support server.

5. Children

ChatPulse is intended for people who meet Discord’s minimum age requirement in their country, as described in Discord’s Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below that age.

6. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we store. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Continuing to use ChatPulse after a change means you accept the updated policy.
